Are you interested in car racing, Formula One or the likes of it? Then you should visit Monte-Carlo.
Monte-Carlo is between the Alps Mountains and the Mediterranean sea, in a beautiful principality in Monaco, which is in the South of France (Le sud de France) and like most places southward; is an extremely wealthy region. After visiting the region, everywhere else pales in comparison and perhaps you start wishing for more money to live a better life.
Monte Carlo is also known for other glamorous things such as: casinos, gambling and definitely the place where all the stars and royalty have been and leave their footprints on.
So if you have enough money to: go on a private boat cruise, gamble, sky dive, attend the Formula One car racing live, spend some cash in the expensive exclusive shops, laze around on the beach, or simply feel like a star? Then you definitely must visit Monte Carlo.
Take a look at the pictures below (the champions promenade) too see footprints of famous folks that have been there. (By the way, the pictures are not excellent).
George Best
Dino Zoff
Alfredo di Steffano
Robberto Baggio
Gianni Rivera
Eusibio Ferreira Da Silva
Did you see the name of your favourite star there? No? There were too many of them and it was too hot to take all the footprints on the promenade.
And by the way, I jumped into all the footprints, you never know where you may catch a little luck and be transformed into a star, like the story of beauty and the beast. Dream on right? Haha. I won't leave you out.
For your own star quality experience, follow the step by step procedure
1. Print out all the footprints on the promenade (A4 or A5 paper)
2. Place them on the ground vertically- leave some distance between them
3. Jump on each one, YEAH, JUMP higher
4. That's your star quality moment- for those that would not go to Monte-Carlo.
Now you know what it's like to walk in the footprints of the stars.
CAR RACING & CASINOS
Monte Carlo is famous for the Grand Prix formula One car racing event that holds yearly. One of the things you will surely notice while around the grand Prix (whether or not you are there during the car racing event) are the cars, Ferari, jaguar, porsche, pontiac etc . I saw them live. Tourists were wild with excitement and at a point we all just sat down at the side of the very clean roads and watched the show of cars as they sped past. It was really a show of opulence. I was not however able to get pictures of the cars because they were moving too fast.
The casinos are in a magnificent complex with beautiful gardens, beside a street called J.F KENNEDY, and the racing tracks are also around the premises. Below are pictures showing the back view of the complex.
After viewing all the cars and beauty of this place, you really start to ask yourself why the rest of the world cannot have the wealth that Monte-Carlo has and then you get annoyed, what resources do they even have? Waiting for an answer? tourism, major attraction-games.
And while i am still pondering and going for an expensive ice cream, i see an amazing site the likes of which i have only seen on TV- a couple parachuting.
This is such an amazing site, you really have to see it to understand. I watched them all the way until they landed on their boat. Talk about having a life-thats the way to go about it.
NATURE & BUILDINGS
Because of the rocky environment, most of the structures are built in the rocks and are surrounded by beautiful gardens. This gives the place such a lovely story book feel to it. But then i cannot help but wonder how much it will cost to blast the rocks to create this. See below.
VIEWS OF MONTE-CARLO
Now take a look at the train station which is made of marble can you believe it!!!! Marble.
Videos below of a spots car and the environs.
